In his 20 year career as an award-winning baker on the Monterey Peninsula, Alex has created nearly one thousand wedding cakes! Before branching out and starting his own bakery in 2006, Alex received his pedigree in fine European-style baking as the Main Baker at several of the county's better bakeries (Paris Bakery, Patisserie Beachler and Pastelo Bakery). His wife and business partner Olga, whom he met when they worked together at Patisserie Beachler nine years ago, also has over a decade of experience in the bakery business.
As the proprietors of Royal Deli & Bakery, Alex and Olga are proud to create some of Monterey County's most wonderful French-style cakes and delectable Italian, German and French desserts. In addition to wedding cakes, they also specialize in custom Birthday, Communion, Graduation and Baby Shower Cakes. Also be sure to try one of their fantastic homemade style lunches next time you get a chance to visit their quaint little bakery in the heart of Salinas.
